Until now, a full day was allotted for property registration in Noida, but the rules are about to change.
In Noida, Uttar Pradesh, property registrations must now be completed within just one hour. Upon applying, an applicant will be allotted a one-hour time slot, after which the slot will be cancelled. This new rule will come into effect starting April 1st. Adequate time will be provided for the verification of documents.
If the registration is not completed within the stipulated timeframe, the slot will be automatically cancelled. Subsequently, a new slot will be allotted—provided one is available on that same day—otherwise, an application will have to be submitted for a different day. This new system will come into effect starting April 1st.
Previously, slots were available throughout the entire day.
Information regarding slot availability has now been published on the online portal of the Uttar Pradesh Registration Department. Until now, slots were available for the entire day. However, while departmental officials claim that the registration process begins at 10:00 AM, the actual proceedings typically do not commence until after 12:00 PM. By the afternoon, the crowd tends to swell. Verifying documents amidst such congestion is not an easy task. Under the new regulations, adequate time will be allotted for the verification of every single document.
Registry Process May Stall Due to Server Outage
On the other hand, advocates and document writers state that the server at the Registry Department is not functioning properly. Under these circumstances, if the server crashes, the registration process for some individuals could get stalled.
