Preparations underway for a new elevated road in Noida the route will be from Delhi directly to the Yamuna Expressway.

Preparations are underway to build another elevated road in Noida. It has been decided to build it from the Chilla Elevated Road’s descending ramp to the Sector 94 roundabout. This elevated road will be approximately two kilometers long.

To alleviate traffic congestion on the Film City route, a 5.96-kilometer-long Chilla Elevated Road is currently under construction. Originating from the Chilla Regulator in Delhi, this road will connect to the Mayur Vihar Flyover. In Noida, it will descend near the Mahamaya Flyover. Subsequently—to ensure that commuters heading towards Greater Noida do not get stuck in traffic jams on the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway—the Noida Authority has decided to construct a new elevated road. Plans are underway to build this elevated road extending from a point just beyond the descent ramp of the Chilla Elevated Road up to the Sector-94 Roundabout.

Proposed Construction of a Six-Lane Expressway
Furthermore, to connect Noida with the Yamuna Expressway, the construction of a six-lane expressway extending from Sector-94 to Sector-150 has already been proposed. This stretch will be approximately 31 kilometers long. Consequently, motorists will be able to travel directly from Delhi to Greater Noida and the Yamuna Expressway via an elevated road without any interruptions. Reaching the Noida International Airport, currently under construction in Jewar, will also become significantly easier.

Noida Currently Has Two Elevated Roads
Officials from the Noida Authority have stated that work has commenced on a plan to construct an additional elevated road extending from the point where the Chilla Elevated Road descends, all the way to Sector-94. A survey for this project has already been completed. Running through the intervening space is the elevated track of the Magenta Line Metro, situated at a height of approximately 17 meters. It is feasible to route the new elevated road just four meters above this metro track. The elevated road, for which the survey has been conducted, is projected to have a height of around 22 meters. This elevated road will be integrated near the Sector-94 roundabout. Currently, vehicular traffic in the city utilizes two elevated roads.

Synthetic Track to be Built Around the Wall at Noida Stadium
Meanwhile, the unpaved path running alongside the perimeter wall of the Sector 21A Noida Stadium is set to be converted into a synthetic track. The Authority has already commenced preparations for this project. The Authority is also currently constructing a synthetic track at the Ramlila Ground, which is adjacent to the stadium. Currently, people use this unpaved track for walking and jogging. The estimated cost for converting this approximately 2.5-kilometer-long track into a synthetic track exceeds ₹4 crore. The Authority has prepared the project proposal and has initiated the necessary technical assessments. Following this, a tender will be issued. Until now, the Authority had deliberately kept this track unpaved to provide a surface that minimizes strain on the knees while walking or jogging. Consequently, a large number of people visit the site in the mornings and evenings specifically for these activities.
Officials stated that a synthetic track will now be constructed at this location. Authority officials confirmed that the project proposal has been finalized, and a tender will be issued shortly. A synthetic track is already under construction within the Ramlila Ground complex, and it is expected to be completed within one month.
