Commute from Greater Noida to Noida, Ghaziabad, and Delhi Eased; Tilpata ROB Opens, Offering Relief from Hours-Long Traffic Jams

A 1,600-meter-long, four-lane Railway Overbridge (ROB) stretching from Tilpata Roundabout to Makoda Roundabout on Greater Noida’s 130-meter road has been opened to traffic. This will bring relief to commuters traveling between Noida, Greater Noida, Greater Noida West (Greno West), and Ghaziabad.

Jagran Correspondent, Greater Noida: Commuters traveling via Greater Noida’s 130-meter road—connecting Noida, Greater Noida, Greno West, and Ghaziabad—have received significant relief. The ROB, constructed near Paramount Golf Foreste between Tilpata Roundabout and Makoda Roundabout, was opened to vehicular movement on Tuesday.

ROB is Four-Lane and 1,600 Meters Long
The bridge spans approximately 1,600 meters and features four lanes. It was constructed by the Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL). The Dedicated Freight Corridor railway line passes beneath this ROB.

The Greater Noida Authority had been continuously pressuring DFCCIL to expedite the ROB’s completion. Heavy traffic volume on the 130-meter road frequently caused congestion at the underpass, a problem that worsened significantly during the rainy season.

Who Will Benefit?
The construction of the ROB has resolved this issue. Commuters traveling between Greater Noida and areas like Greno West, Noida, Delhi, and Ghaziabad via the 130-meter road will experience much greater convenience. Travelers commuting to and from the upcoming Noida Airport will also benefit from this development.

U-Turn to be Built at Tilpata Roundabout; Tender Issued
U-turns will be constructed on the 130-meter road on both sides of the Tilpata Roundabout. A tender for this project has already been issued, and construction is expected to be completed within three to four months. Directives have been issued to the project department to ensure the 130-meter road remains free from traffic congestion. Widening work is also underway here.

To reduce traffic congestion at intersections, U-turns are being constructed alongside the road widening. Work Circle-7 has been entrusted with this task. Preparations are in place to complete the tendering process and commence construction within a month. The construction is expected to take three to four months to complete.
