Buying property in Greater Noida could become more expensive a decision regarding this may be taken during the Yamuna Authority’s board meeting on March 20.

The Board meeting of the Yamuna Authority will be held on Friday afternoon, presided over by Chairman and Additional Chief Secretary Alok Kumar. During this meeting, the budget proposals for the upcoming financial year will be approved. Purchasing property within the Authority’s jurisdiction could become more expensive.

In the previous financial year, YEIDA hiked property allotment rates by 10 to 35 percent. A further increase is likely this time as well. Additionally, proposals for land acquisition in newly planned sectors for development projects may also receive approval. The Yamuna Authority is set to present its largest-ever budget to the Board for the financial year 2026-27.

What will be the Authority’s budget for the upcoming financial year?
To accelerate land acquisition and development projects, the Authority’s budget for the upcoming financial year is expected to be approximately ₹12,000 crore. For the past two financial years, YEIDA’s budget has hovered around ₹10,000 crore. Much like the previous two years, YEIDA’s primary focus in the upcoming financial year will continue to be on land acquisition. An allocation of ₹7,500 crore is expected for this purpose.

Multi-Modal Logistics Park Project Likely to Receive Approval
The budget is expected to see an increase to facilitate land acquisition—specifically for the Japanese, Korean, and Singaporean City zones—as well as to expedite structural development, including road projects aimed at enhancing connectivity and translating investment proposals within the industrial sector into reality. There is also a possibility of an increase in the rural budget to fund development works in villages, alongside the allocation of 7% developed land plots to farmers.

The Board is also likely to give its seal of approval to proposals regarding projects included in the Phase II Master Plan—specifically the Mathura Heritage City and the Multi-Modal Logistics Park project located at Tappal in Aligarh. The Master Plan for New Agra is also expected to receive the Board’s approval.
