Passengers from the Purvanchal region will no longer face inconvenience in reaching Noida International Airport (Jewar). The North Central Railway has accelerated preparations to lay a new rail line to provide train connectivity to Jewar Airport. This proposed 84-kilometer-long rail line will be constructed between Palwal and Chola railway stations, thereby providing direct connectivity to passengers from Purvanchal, including those from Prayagraj. This initiative will offer a major convenience to travelers.

At present, there is no direct train service available to reach Jewar Airport from Prayagraj or other cities in Purvanchal. Passengers are currently compelled to disembark at Ghaziabad or Anand Vihar Terminal, a process that results in increased travel time and costs. Even after arriving at Jewar Airport, traveling to these specific stations remains the only option for catching a connecting train. This new line, proposed by the North Central Railway, will directly integrate Jewar Airport into the main railway network.

Survey Completed; DPR in Final Stages

According to railway sources, the survey work for the project has been completed, and the Detailed Project Report (DPR) is currently in its final stages. Construction work on this line, estimated to cost approximately ₹400 crore, is expected to commence shortly. Upon the completion of this project, direct train services to Jewar Airport will become available from cities such as Prayagraj, Kanpur, and Varanasi.
